Samsung Galaxy S10 is arguably one of the best phones due to its far improved specs, new design, and large display. This phone is still the best deal for most of the buyers, even in the presence of the Galaxy S20 as another buying option.
Another option that you can consider here is Pixel 3 by Google. The Pixel 3 offers great features such as an ability to receive updates from Google instantly and an excellent camera. In this article, we are going to share a short comparison between Samsung Galaxy S10 and Google Pixel 3.
Specs
Performance and battery life
The main difference between both phones is related to the internal specs. The Pixel 3 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and a 4GB RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S10, on the other hand, has Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and 8GB RAM. The Pixel 3 has an internal storage of 128GB, while the Galaxy S10 offers up to 512GB.
The 3,400mAh battery unit in the Galaxy S10 is a little larger than the 2,915mAh battery in the Pixel 3. But this difference of battery units may become negligible because the Galaxy S10 comes with a larger display, meaning that it tends to consume more battery juice.
Design and durability
Samsung has stepped things up from the perspective of design in the Galaxy S10. An almost edge-to-edge screen and a punch-hole camera on the top right side make the front side unarguably attractive. The thick bezel is the chin, which is not that thick. On the backside, there is a triple-camera setup, but that doesn’t stop the backside from being minimalist, which undoubtedly adds more to the overall design of the phone.
The Pixel 3 has a dated look, but it, by no means, is a bad-looking phone. The sizeable forehead and chin are not according to the modern smartphone design standards. There is a single camera setup on the top left side of the backside. Both of these phones come with all-glass designs, and both have the water-resistance rating of IP68.
The Galaxy S10 may be superior to the Pixel 3 in terms of design, but both are equally durable.
Display
Google Pixel 3 comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, making up a pixel density of 443 pixels per inch. These display specs are not that bad, but they are not as good as Samsung Galaxy S10, which comes with a 6.1-inch screen with a screen resolution of 3,040 x 1,440 pixels. The pixel density is 551 pixels per inch. The Galaxy S10 is the first phone to come with a display that is HDR10+ certified.
Camera
Google Pixel phones are known well for being the best camera phones, thanks to the artificial intelligence working at the backend of the camera hardware. The Pixel 3 may only have a single-lens camera setup, but Google has made sure that the phone uses this setup to the fullest. The camera on the backside sits in at 12.2 megapixels. This camera takes incredible shots in low-light situations.
The Galaxy S10 has an entirely different camera setup on its backside. It’s a triple-camera system comprising an ultra-wide 16MP lens, a standard lens of 12MP, and a telephoto lens of 12MP. This camera setup doesn’t promise excellent shots in low-light, but, instead, it offers tons of other features that equalize this phone with the Pixel 3.
